Portable Target Stand

If you want a good light weight shooting stand, this
one is easy to make and portable. All PVC parts are
1 1/2" size. 14 1/2 feet of pipe to build one, so 2 10
footers. (3 - 10 footers and you can get two stands,
just double the supplies listed below.) The wood is
cut at 1" by 1 1/2", this fits into the PVC pipe with a
little trimming. (I used a router on mine to round off
the edges). The 1 1/2" side faces you the shooter. I
used 1" galvanized roofing nails to attach the plastic
cardboard on the frame. The cardboard is cut at 30
1/2" wide by 36" long.
1. 2 pieces PVC cut to 27 1/4", this is the width
pieces of the stand.
2. 4 pieces PVC cut to 24", these are the length
pieces, attached in the center by the T elbows.
3. 2 pieces cut to 12", the stand sits in these on top
of the T elbows.
4. 90 deg elbows, 4 each.
5. T elbows, 2 each.
6. Wood cut to 64" length, 2 each.
7 Wood cut to 30 1/2" length, 2 each, attached to
the rear of the 64" pieces to make the wood frame.
Lower piece 24" from bottom of stand.
Take the two 27" pieces, attach a 90 elbow to each
end.
Take the 24" pieces and attach to the 4 open ends of
the 90 elbows.
You now have 2 halves, attach them together by
placing a T elbow in the center and inserting the open
ends of the 24" PVC pipe into them. In the opening
on top of the T elbow, you insert the 12" pieces. The
wooden legs of the target will fit into these.
I found the 90 deg elbows at Home Depot are a little
deeper so they fit a little better.
